In the same vein as another blog I used to read, here is something to make you laugh. I suppose it made me laugh so hard because Zac is a searching-for-things-and-not-finding-them-easily challenged. Here it is.
Since Zac wrote a post today March 29, 2007
Even though his is much better and more intelligent, here goes anywho.
I have been busy today with Sophia who is running a fever but has no symptoms except fatigue and little irritability. She had another febrile seizure, this time we did not call 911. As scary as it was we knew a little of what to expect.
Also keeping me busy is a set of twenty cape-type robes (not the Jedi-type) I am working on for an Ethiopian bell Choir. You can read about the Black’s ministry to the Ethiopians here. And you can read about what inspired me to volunteer for such a task here. Please peruse through Dave Black’s site and be inspired to love Jesus more, and please please read the second link, which is an interview with Mrs. Black. You will feel spurred on to love and good works. At least I was.
On another note, Ellie has taken leaps and bounds in her cuteness quotient(CQ) this week. For the past four days she has developed and done much practicing of the the sounds, d, t, m, n, and g. She has learned these all in the last four days! Babies are so amazing. It seems like such a simple thing to rejoice in, but for a creature that once only new waaaahhhh and aarrrhh, aarrhh, it is great. She is also sitting up pretty good. I still keep the boppy behind her ‘just in case’, but she sits there most of the day trying to get her hands and mouth on everything saying “DaDaDaDaDa”. Cute, cute, cute.
Anywho, I should go and join the rest of the crew and get some rest.
Update March 19, 2007
So I guess I am joining the update club.
This is my first time having any alone time in many weeks. I am very thankful for all the time I spend with my children, husband, and mother, but I am trying to find the best possible way to explain my hiatus from my blog.
Anywho, I have much thanks to dish out here today, so let’s get started.
First, thank you mom for spending your vacation time and a lot of money to come here and spend time with us. Thank you also for helping in what are normally my responsibilities here at home. I truly have been refreshed and have taken to my housework with new vigor today. My mom loves to clean and be busy and while she was here would routinely wash clothes, do dishes, sweep the floor, play with the children, etc. As you can imagine, all these daily activities can tire a person out. Instead of feeling entitled to lots of R and R, my most gracious mother relieved me of some of these things during her stay and re-energized me to get back at it.
Another shout out and big thank you to Aunt Donna. Can I call you that?? Well, she has been reading about my future endeavors here on my blog and has seen it in her heart to donate to my business a Babylock serger, and a heavy duty-I-can-do-anything-and-then-some Husqvarna (Viking) sewing machine, Pullen pleater and snap-maker thingy. I shall put them all to good use.
And yet another thank you to my husband Zac, the homebody that he is, took me on vacation to Savannah (with kids and Mom). It was four days of fun and relaxation.
Thank you also to Martin and Marga for making our trip more comfortable and safe. They traded cars with us for our vacation so instead of riding in the Saturn, we had the CRV.
And of course, a thank you to my heavenly Father for all the mercy of providing me with such loving and generous family and beautiful children.
I have a few project deadlines in the next few weeks, but hopefully there will be more frequent blogging. Oh, and a big congratulations to us. We are moving to Iowa and Zac is going to earn his PhD. Yay Zac!
