That is what Sophia asked tonight as I was dancing around in the dark waiting for Zac to open the door to our new house. One of the payoffs to living in a subtropical climate is the bugs. I think I pulled a muscle in my frantic race from the door to the car.
Anywho, we got here! We are safe, and in our new home! We got here on Saturday at around 3:00pm and were very disappointed to find the house filthy. We had to scrub the kitchen just so we could put things away. The floors also had at least half a dozen dead bugs, possible more. I was a little discouraged. We think it was an oversight by the rental company and they are doing everything they can to make it right. We love the house, the yard, all the trees, and the privacy. It is a big change from Iowa and the last 10 months.
I must give a shout out to Marga, Zac’s mom. She is uber cool. She flew up to Iowa to help us and when we got here and I was disheartened she gave me pep talks and helped clean and unpack. I don’t think a better Mother-in-law exists.
